A redesign should make your website easier to use and better at producing enquiries, without throwing away the search visibility it has already earned. That is the whole brief, and it is why every WordPress website redesign I do starts with an audit rather than a mood board.
Before quoting a redesign, I review the current site: which pages get traffic and enquiries, what Google Search Console shows, how fast the key pages load on mobile, and how the site is built. Sometimes the honest answer is that you do not need a full redesign. Slow pages can often be fixed with speed optimization for a fraction of the cost, and I will tell you if that is the case.
Wherever possible, existing page addresses stay exactly the same. Pages that rank today keep their content focus, titles and headings, improved rather than replaced. When a URL genuinely has to change, it gets a one-to-one 301 redirect to its closest new equivalent.
Every redesign includes a simple before and after record: screenshots of key pages on desktop and mobile, page speed measurements, and the URL map. You can see exactly what changed instead of taking it on trust.
Included: audit summary, refreshed design for the agreed pages, mobile-friendly layouts, a clear call to action and lead form, redirects where needed, basic on-page SEO carried over, and a walkthrough at handover.
Not included unless agreed: new copywriting for the whole site, new pages beyond the agreed scope, hosting or domain costs, paid themes or plugins, e-commerce, and ongoing SEO. The Website Redesign package and its full scope is on the pricing page. Larger redesigns are quoted from the audit.
A careful redesign should not cost you rankings. Expect some movement while Google recrawls, which usually settles within a few weeks when URLs and content focus are preserved.
Yes, by rebuilding it on WordPress. That is a migration as well as a redesign, so the redirect mapping matters even more.
Send me your current website address and I will tell you whether it needs a redesign or a smaller fix. Request a website quote.
