Home Inspection Website Design

Home inspection is the niche I have worked in most. Buyers, agents and sellers all land on an inspector's website with the same questions: do you cover my area, what does the inspection include, what does the report look like, and how fast can I book? A good home inspection website answers all four within seconds, especially on a phone.

What a home inspection website needs

  • Inspection services. Buyer, pre-listing, new construction, 11th month warranty and commercial inspections, each explained clearly.
  • Add-on services. Radon, sewer scope, mold, termite, pool and similar add-ons, ideally with their own pages so each can be found in search.
  • Service areas. The counties, cities and towns you cover, presented honestly.
  • Sample report. An explanation of how your report works, with a sample customers and agents can open.
  • Booking. Your scheduler (such as Spectora or ISN) embedded or linked so customers can book online.
  • Phone and quote paths. A tap-to-call number and a short quote form on every page.
  • Trust. Licences, certifications, inspector bios and real reviews.

Service pages vs location pages

These two page types do different jobs and should not be mixed up. A service page explains one inspection type or add-on, such as radon testing, in enough detail to rank for that service. A location page explains how you serve one area, with genuinely local detail: the housing stock, common issues, travel times and the agents you work with.

Location pages only help when each one is useful on its own. Copying one page and swapping the city name creates thin pages that can hold back the rest of the site. Five well written location pages beat thirty templated ones. The service-area website development page goes into this in more detail.

The mobile enquiry journey

Many home buyers search on their phone between viewings, and agents often book for clients on the move. On mobile, the call button and the booking link should never be more than a thumb away. Pricing or a quote form should be easy to find. Pages should load quickly on a mobile connection. I test this journey on real phones before launch.

Common questions from inspectors

Do I need to leave my inspection software's website?

You can keep the software for scheduling, agreements and reports. Most schedulers can be embedded into a WordPress site, so only the website changes.

Can you show my prices on the site?

Yes, as a simple price table or a quote calculator based on square footage and add-ons. Showing prices often filters out poor-fit enquiries.

I already have a website. Do I need a new one?

Not always. A website redesign can keep what works and fix what does not. I will tell you which makes sense after looking at your current site.

What does it cost?

Starting packages are on the pricing page. Multi-location inspection websites are quoted from a written scope.
